C.O.W. Link is a Truist EPIC Grant funded project, made possible by The Internet Society. This grant funded project is meant to bring high quality, affordable, broadband internet to the residents of Williston, FL.
Below is our projected coverage by the end of the project. The project is being done in phases, starting out in phase one to focus coverage in the immediate, centralized area of Williston.
Our phase one coverage will be approximately a 10 to 12 block wide area, in the center of town.
Eventually we will have coverage for the greater Williston, Florida area, as indicated below.
C.O.W. Link is a wireless internet solution, it is a "Line of Sight" solution. Coverage will be affected by topography, vegetation, and structures. These this may mean that coverage is not available to some places within our proposed coverage area.
Our Service Plans are simple, no contract, no data caps. We are offering 2 plans at this time:
Standard: 10 Mbps Download / 5 Mbps Upload for $20.00 / month.
General: 25 Mbps Download / 25 Mbps Upload for $35.00 / month.
With the site survey, and standard installation are at no cost. Any non-standard installation materials (posts, poles, mounting brackets, concrete, conduit, wiring, etc.) and labor will be charged to the customer.
We provide to the interior of the building, an Ethernet cable with a public IP address and a managed router for WiFi / Networking. These consist of two options:
1) HAP Mini router - $5 / month. This router provides 2.4 GHz WiFi, as well as 2 Ethernet connections.
2) HAP II Router - $10 / month. This router provides 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi and 4 Ethernet connections.
Refundable Security Deposits are required for all city issued equipment as follows:
CPE Bridge (Equipment required to receive internet signal) - $100
HAP Mini Router - $40.00
HAP II Router - $80.00
